Hello, my name is Peter.

I've long been a voice for learning – healing – growing and I'm pleased to be part of the very special team at Essential Healing Centre and able to extend the range of services available here.

I've moved away from a career in mainstream psychology to integrate traditional and alternative modalities into my service offerings. These include transpersonal therapy, spiritual dowsing, energy work, flower essences, workshops and the quirky stuff that doesn’t easily fit into any of those categories.

Hiring a consultant for personal and spiritual growth can be a process fraught with doubts. Please read on if you’d like to get to know me a little.

I count myself fortunate to have got some life experience before an academic education in my 30s. From my late teens I was exploring spirituality and what some call occult sciences. Eventually I gave up a successful career as a journalist to assist people one to one in their personal growth.

I provided thousands of consultations to high functioning people over 20 years as a psychologist and psychotherapist working out of medical centres and other venues around the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

While I had a wide range of skills in different forms of brief therapy, hypnotherapy and personal growth processes, what clients seemed to notice most was my gift of listening. And they said what they appreciated most was that I was from outside their circle.

At the same time I was getting on with family life and my own journey, enjoying cooking, gardening, renovating, music, and learning traditional and alternative healing methods . . . Flower Essences, radionics and other vibrational remedies, the subtle energy systems of the body, energy work including Spiritual Healing, Reiki, Pranic Healing and crystals, variations in consciousness including meditation, hypnosis, ritual, sound, mudras, and the use of cards and dowsing to access information.
